  • Trip Interruption has a variety covered reasons for unforeseen circumstances, including sickness, injury or death of the traveler, traveling companion, business partner or family member; mandatory evacuations due to natural disasters or hurricanes; quarantine; terrorist incidents; and felonious assault.
  • Trip Delay covers unforeseen circumstances such as sickness, injury or death of you or a traveling companion; common carrier delays; and loss of passports or travel documents.

Medical Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains can provide benefits:

  • to transport you to the nearest suitable medical facility to treat an unforeseen  sickness or injury determined to be acute, severe or life threatening if adequate treatment is not available in your immediate area;
  • to transport you back to your point of origin (with a medical escort if recommended by a physician) following an emergency medical evacuation or covered injury/sickness and transport your remains back to your origination in case of an unexpected tragedy.

Medical Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains must be authorized and arranged in advance by the non-insurance assistance provider, Robin Assist.

  • Emergency Accident Sickness and Medical Expense can reimburse the cost of reasonable medical expenses incurred as a result of sickness or injury first occurring on a covered trip. Emergency dental care for injury to sound natural teeth is limited to $250.
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment can pay a benefit if the traveler dies, or suffers a loss of limb or sight, due to an accidental injury while on the trip.

This is only a brief summary of the benefits available. The plan document contains full details regarding covered perils, limitations and exclusions.

Generally, the plan is intended to cover unforeseen circumstances that can occur while traveling. There are a number of exclusions that could apply, such as suicide, acts of war and commission of a felony. This is only a partial list; the plan document contains full details regarding covered perils, limitations and exclusions.

We strongly recommend that you provide your battleface plan and contact information to your travel companies, friends or family members. In case of an emergency, if you are not able to reach us, your next of kin should be able to contact us 24/7 through:

No itinerary deviations are allowed for the entire group. Contact battleface to obtain an additional plan that can cover travel arrangements outside of the group itinerary.

The business headquarters can be located in any state other than New York, Minnesota and Oregon as they are excluded from purchasing this plan.

General coverages will be extended if the traveler’s return is delayed due to unavoidable circumstances beyond their control. Extension will end the earlier of the date when the traveler reaches their originally scheduled return destination or 10 days after the original scheduled return date. In the event of an evacuation or medical event, if the traveler is not medically fit to travel, the Medical Evacuation and Repatriation coverage is extended until they are medically fit to travel to return back home to their primary residence or until the coverage reached the maximum benefit amount.

PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION

Pre-Existing Medical Condition means an illness, disease, or other condition during the 180 day period immediately prior to the date Your coverage is effective :
  1. received or received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment for a condition which first manifested itself, worsened or became acute, or had symptoms which would have prompted a reasonable person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment; or
  2. took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine. Item (2) of this definition does not apply to a condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the 180 day period before coverage is effective under this policy.
  3. required a change in prescribed medication. Change in prescribed medication means the dosage or frequency of a medication has been reduced, increased, stopped and/or new medications have been prescribed due to the worsening of an underlying condition that is being treated with the medication, unless the change is:
    1. between a brand name and a generic medication with comparable dosage; or
    2. an adjustment to insulin or anti-coagulant dosage.
If you, or someone you are traveling with, has a Pre-Existing Medical Condition, you can still buy a policy from us but there is no cover for any claim arising directly or indirectly from that condition.
